Soledad Canyon / Acton Loop (~30 miles; ~2,000 feet elevation gain)

I did this ride with Jeff, Michelle and Rick on 02/01/2009 (with December driving the support truck!). This is actually a great ride when you are getting tired of the usual in the AV (and it's the core of the bi-monthly Bicycle John ride out of Acton). You can park either at the Bicycle Johns store (Soledad Rd. exit off the CA-14) or in the residential neighboorhood just south of the freeway at the same exit. The route is pretty straightforward whether you go clockwise or counterclockwise. (Please note that I accidentally turned off my GPS during the ride so there is a straight line descent into Acton which should be along Escondido Rd.)
